With almost 30 years of extensive professional experience in the financial industry, Jörg Held brings a deep multi-asset expertise to ETHENEA's portfolio management team.
Jörg Held started his professional career in 1993 at the private bank Schroeder, Muenchmeyer, Hengst & Co. in Frankfurt as a trader for interest rate, derivative and equity products and advisory for these asset classes, before joining Hypovereinsbank AG in Munich in 1998 as a senior sales trader for US and Anglo-Saxon clients in the International Markets division.
From 2000, he took on the role of proprietary trader at UBS Warburg (formally Warburg Dillon Read) in Frankfurt and moved permanently to London in 2001. Until the end of 2014, he worked in various institutional areas of the UBS Ltd. investment bank London. Most recently in the direct support and advisory of international clients with different investment perspectives, focuses and strategies, in particular for global multi-asset sovereign wealth and pension funds, but also for traditional institutional asset managers and well-known global hedge funds. Since 2014, Jörg Held is Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Portfolio Management (Execution) for the asset allocation and selection of all funds managed by ETHENEA Independent Investors S.A.. As of February 2024, he has taken additional responsibility as Head of Portfolio Management.
