With more than 30 years of extensive international professional experience in the financial industry, Jörg Held brings his in-depth multi-asset expertise to ETHENEA's portfolio management team. He has been Portfolio Manager and Head of Portfolio Management (Execution) since 2014. In his current position as Head of Portfolio Management, he has been responsible for asset allocation and the selection of all Ethna Funds since 2024.
Jörg Held began his professional career in 1993 at the private bank Schroeder, Münchmeyer, Hengst & Co. in Frankfurt as a trader for interest rate, derivative and equity products and advisor for these asset classes, before moving to Hypovereinsbank AG in Munich in 1998 as a senior sales trader for US and Anglo-Saxon clients in the International Markets division. From 2000, he worked as a proprietary trader at UBS Warburg in Frankfurt and moved permanently to London in 2001. There, he worked in various institutional areas of UBS Investment Bank until 2014, most recently advising international clients with complex investment strategies, including global sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, institutional asset managers and renowned hedge funds.
His international experience, particularly in multi-asset investments, shapes his holistic view of the capital markets and his strategic approach to portfolio management.
