Illia Galka joined ETHENEA as a portfolio manager in November 2022. His responsibilities include analysing capital markets, developing investment ideas and implementing them in multi-asset and fixed income portfolios.
Before joining the financial industry, he worked for six years as an interpreter and translator for English, German, Ukrainian and Russian. At the same time, he completed a degree in international economics at the National Economic University in Kiev, graduating with a master's degree. He passed all three CFA® exams on his first attempt.
He then obtained a Master of Science in Investment Management from the renowned Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) in London – a combination of analytical depth, international perspective and academic excellence that he now brings to bear in portfolio management.
